MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE

WHAT IS MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE?

Motorcycle insurance, also called motor bike insurance, works on the same principles as car insurance. Depending on the level of cover you choose, motorcycle insurance will protect you against the costs of you injuring someone in an accident or damaging their property. It can also cover you for the cost of your bike being damaged or stolen.

WHY DO I NEED MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE?

If you ride your motorcycle on a public road then, by law, you will need to have it insured.

The minimum level of cover that you can have is third party cover. This is a basic level of insurance and covers costs of injury to other people and their property if you have an accident.

The second level of cover is third party fire and theft, which also protects your motorbike it is stolen, or damaged or destroyed by fire.

The third level of cover is comprehensive insurance. In addition to the cover provided by third party, fire and theft, it also protects you and motorbike if you are in an accident. So, if your bike is damaged, stolen or destroyed, you will be covered.
